3G Data Tariffs

Please note:

Orange have received feed back that there is a growing number of customers complaining about their dongle not working on Windows 7 laptops. This is for those who are sold through the Huawei E160.

This is apparently coming from all channels but in particular the indirect one.

Can you re-emphasise the following:

  • The Huawei E160 is not compatible with Windows 7
  • The Huawei E1752 or the Option 515m are compatible with Windows 7


There is an upgrade to Windows 7 available to download for the E160 at http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/mobile-broadband/help-and-faqs#WhatElse, but in the spirit of great customer experience, our steer should be: if a customer is on Windows 7, don't sell E160, otherwise sell through the E160 on the £5 tariff as we do currently.
